Bobby James Carson

Bobby James Carson 79, of Allen, TX stepped into heaven on July 13, 2024, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, OK surrounded by his family.

Bobby was born December 8, 1944, in Tulsa, Oklahoma to L.O. Bob Carson and Imogene F. Carson. He graduated from Sapulpa High School in 1963.  After graduation he earned his FCC license and worked as a local radio station Disc Jockey in the Tulsa area. Bobby later attended Northeastern State University and Oklahoma State University. Bobby’s primary occupation was a meat cutter for over 4 decades.

Bobby met the love of his life, Beverly Blake in 1964 and they married in 1967 in Sapulpa, OK. They were married 57 years. He attended First Presbyterian Church of Allen, TX where he volunteered at the church and with community needs and projects.

Bobby completed both the Allen Police Department and Allen Fire Department Citizen Police Academies. In 2020, Bobby volunteered with the Allen Fire Department at a COVID-19 vaccine hub in Allen where he was recognized by Fire Department and City of Allen for his work in assisting many thousands of citizens getting vaccinated.

In his spare time Bobby enjoyed fishing, vacationing and spending time with his family and friends. Bobby had a caring and compassionate heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand with his friends, family, neighbors, church and local community. He will be greatly missed by all his friends and family.

Bobby is survived by his wife Beverly Carson and son John Carson of Allen, TX, sister-in law Betty Blake of Dallas, TX, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, 

July 21, 2024, from 1-5 p.m. at Smith Funeral home in Sapulpa, OK. The funeral will be on July 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Smith Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you make a donation to your favorite charity honoring Bobby.
