The Chieftain basketball teams will host Edison Prep Friday with girls playing at 6:30 p.m. and boys at 8:00 p.m. The boys will also host McAlester on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. Holland Hall will visit next Tuesday at 6:30 and 8:00 p.m.
The girls wrestling team will compete at the Regional tournament next Monday and Tuesday at Glenpool with wrestling beginning at 11:00 a.m. The boys will compete at the Coweta Regional on February 16-17.
Sapulpa Library Events
The Sapulpa Book Club is reading George Orwell’s 1984 and will be meeting Wednesdays at 4:00 p.m. in the library and on Facebook Live to discuss how it relates to current times.
Thursdays from January 18 through February 29 there will be free Mah Jongg classes from 1:00 to 3:30 p.m. See attached poster for details.
Storytime is held Tuesdays from 11:00 to 11:45 a.m. and is tailored to meet the educational needs of children 1 to 6 years in age, though children newborn to 10 years of age are welcome to participate. The program features a different mix each week of silly songs, rhymes, music, stories, crafts, and interactive play.
Also on Tuesdays is an adult drumming exercise class from 12:15 to 1:00 p.m.
Next Tuesday there will be a free family movie night with a screening of Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie at 5:00 p.m.
The Board of Creek County Commissioners will hold a regular meeting on Monday at 9:00 a.m.
The Sapulpa Board of Adjustments will hold a special meeting Thursday at 11:00 a.m. in the Council Chambers at City Hall.
The Allen Bowden Board of Education will meet Monday at 4:30 p.m. in the boardroom of the administration building.
The Sapulpa Board of Education will meet Tuesday at 6:00 p.m. in the Washington Administrative Center.
The Pretty Water Board of Education will meet Thursday, February 15th at 6:00 p.m. in the boardroom.
