Sapulpa renews its 2-cent sales tax, and the Ward 2 seat will head to a runoff between incumbent Carla Gunn and newcomer London Dobson.
The flyer—which contains inaccurate information regarding city council candidates and the 2-cent sales tax renewal, has been described as “an attempt to inject partisan politics into the city.”
The annual voter registration report released by the State Election Board last week shows an increase in voter registration for all political parties except one.
Voters in Precinct 112 will be temporarily moving to a new polling location.
The election would be a renewal of the existing two cents sales tax for the city, extending the tax into perpetuity so it doesn’t have to come before the board unless necessary.

Candidates for City Council include familiar and new faces, making for an interesting contest in a couple of the City’s wards.
All precincts have now reported in, and Whitehouse won 76.32% of the vote, while his challenger, has taken 23.68%.
